When to use it
Fire & Craters: Fires automatic projectiles and supplies a ring-of-fire active. Start here while working toward the Side Flamethrower unlock.
Lightning & Fire Mages: Adds a second damage source once Lightning Mage is working. Its fire coverage benefits from a useful pursuit route; do not split every early level equally between the two mages.
Fire Mage uses the top slot. Read the automatic attack and active ability separately, then choose upgrades for the attack that actually connects along your route.
Budget 2000 silver for the purchase between runs.
Build and upgrade choices
Check the upgrade workshop for the named branches, tiers and rarity effects. An active-ability upgrade does not automatically improve the normal automatic attack.
Choose a firing or collision angle that lets you leave after attacking. Develop the core damage source before spreading every upgrade across support equipment.
