Wanderburg 0.9.6 patch notes

GAME UPDATE ·

The first launch-day hotfix changed early health pickups, enemy groups, the Dark Tower and several modules.

What changed and how to use it

Green Plains received health pickups. Later grassland and dark-forest enemy groups shifted toward fewer, stronger enemies, while early grassland damage and one enemy spawner were reduced. The Dark Tower on difficulty 1 now has 10,000 health.

The update reduced Top Mortar active projectile count and weakened the back turret. It also strengthened Firestorm, improved ground-fire performance, added protection against teleporting outside the playable area, and fixed several selection, movement and visual issues.

For a first run, use the added recovery opportunities and check the boss health for your actual difficulty. For an existing build, read the active and automatic attacks separately: a changed mortar volley does not imply that every other mortar value changed by the same amount.

Equipment changes

  • Turret Layer was weakened in 0.9.6. Prioritize useful placement and target coverage before investing further in turret upgrades.
  • Top Mortar fires fewer projectiles with its active ability after 0.9.6. Its rear-facing volley still needs enemies behind the castle.
  • The Dark Tower on difficulty 1 had its health reduced from 12,000 to 10,000 in 0.9.6.
  • The legendary Firestorm received a damage increase in 0.9.6.
