When to use it
Ice Mine & Mortar: The active volley lands behind the vehicle, where pursuing enemies cross your mines.
Ram & Nitro: After passing the target, the rear volley can hit enemies following your escape route.
Barracks Army: Pressures the area behind the castle while troops pursue enemies following you.
Spiderburg Lightning & Mortar: Places the rear-facing damage burst while you move away. Learn its landing area before adding more projectiles.
Top Mortar uses the top slot. Read the automatic attack and active ability separately, then choose upgrades for the attack that actually connects along your route.
Budget 1000 silver for the purchase between runs.
Build and upgrade choices
Check the upgrade workshop for the named branches, tiers and rarity effects. An active-ability upgrade does not automatically improve the normal automatic attack.
Choose a firing or collision angle that lets you leave after attacking. Develop the core damage source before spreading every upgrade across support equipment.
Version changes
- 0.9.6 — Top Mortar fires fewer projectiles with its active ability after 0.9.6. Its rear-facing volley still needs enemies behind the castle.
