WANDERBURG WIKI

Wanderburg Luck Build: Dieter, Clovers & Souvenir

EARLY ACCESS · SEPTEMBER 2026

Use Dieter The Drunk with Spiderburg, Lightning Mage, Fire Mage, Teleporter and Dash. Start with Souvenir for vehicle-kill luck, then take useful clovers or Pedigree as they appear. Luck supports your upgrade choices; the mages still have to kill enemies, and your movement still has to keep the castle alive.

Choose this route when you already own the two-top-slot vehicle and want to build around upgrade luck. For a more direct damage plan, follow the Lightning and Fire Mage build. The weapons overlap, but this route spends artifact choices on luck and uses Dash in the back slot instead of Catapult.

Complete luck loadout and each piece's job

Dieter The DrunkCaptain

Luck comes with wobbly controls. Leave a wider turning lane and practise the approach before entering a dense group.

SpiderburgVehicle

Two top slots hold Lightning Mage and Fire Mage. Front and back slots hold the movement tools; there is no side slot.

MerchantsCrew

Generates Gold over time to support run levels. Choose Wizard Crew instead when another attack and slow matter more than the economy.

Lightning MageFirst top module

Start with automatic lightning coverage. Keep improving the attack that is already clearing nearby enemies.

Fire MageSecond top module

Adds a second damage source. Develop it after the first mage can handle the opening, rather than splitting every early level.

TeleporterFront module

Repositions forward. Face clear ground before activation and keep another exit available.

DashBack module

Provides the forward escape. Save it when ordinary driving cannot open enough space.

What should you buy first?

Unlock Spiderburg by defeating all four Golden Dunes bosses, then buy it for 2,500 Silver. Lightning Mage follows the Mage Crew level-5 objective and costs 10,000 Silver. Dieter costs 5,000 Silver; Souvenir costs 50,000 Silver. The expensive artifact is a later purchase, so get a working vehicle and damage core before saving for the full luck package.

Teleporter requires Dash upgrade level 10 and a 1,000-Silver purchase. A missing front movement tool is a reason to keep a wider route, not to equip a Side weapon in its place. Check the module unlock route before spending your next Silver reward.

Souvenir, Pedigree or a clover: choose by when it helps

Souvenir

Early scaling

Gains luck from vehicle kills. Start with it when you can safely clear vehicles throughout a long run; continuing to survive is part of its value.

Pedigree

Level scaling

Gains luck with each level. Take it while there are still levels ahead, rather than delaying a useful item indefinitely for a perfect combination.

Four Leaf Clover

Immediate luck

Improves upgrade luck immediately. It is a useful pickup without waiting for a second clover or an amplifier.

Five Leaf Clover

Another luck choice

Also improves upgrade luck. Compare what is offered with the damage, recovery or movement the next fight requires.

Souvenir and Pedigree grow through different actions: vehicle kills for one, levels for the other. Gold income does not directly trigger Souvenir, and a level does not count as a vehicle kill. Take safe targets that your current damage can handle, then return to the main route before a larger enemy closes the exit.

A clover does not replace a weapon upgrade. If the next wave already survives your lightning, use the next useful damage pick instead of passing it merely because its rarity is lower. An Epic card for an attack you barely use can contribute less to the run than a lower-rarity pick for the damage engine you rely on.

Next Amplifier and Last Amplifier depend on pickup order

Next Amplifier makes the next artifact twice as strong. Last Amplifier makes the previous artifact twice as strong. The important relationship is which artifact you collect next or last, rather than where an icon sits on the screen.

  1. Before choosing Next Amplifier, decide which offered artifact you want it to affect. A clover or Pedigree is a luck target; a needed combat artifact is a different target.
  2. After taking Next Amplifier, check the next pickup carefully. Collecting an unrelated artifact changes which item receives the effect.
  3. After collecting the intended luck artifact, use Last Amplifier only when that artifact is still the previous pickup. Another intervening item changes the target.
  4. If the offers do not line up, take useful progress and continue the run. Do not spend the whole route circling chests while your weapons and escape fall behind.

Upgrade Dice adds three module-upgrade rerolls. Those rerolls help you choose weapon upgrades; they are separate from choosing artifacts. Read the reroll type in the current menu before budgeting it for a clover or an amplifier.

Key cards: keep the mages working and the exit ready

  • Lightning Mage automatic attack and cooldown: establish nearby coverage first, then improve the next attack window. In 0.9.14 the automatic attack has seven base targets instead of five; targeting more enemies does not remove their resistances.
  • Fire Mage damage and cooldown: develop the second top module once the lightning opening works. Choose the Fire Storm or Fire Ring legendary branch for the way you fight; they are alternatives.
  • Teleporter cooldown: keep repositioning available when the route closes. A ready teleport still needs a safe forward landing point.
  • Dash — Invincible: this special choice protects the castle during the active dash. Ordinary boosting is a different action, and the upgrade does not protect the time after the dash ends.
  • Dash — Double Active: adds a second dash while reducing each individual dash time to 70%. Face a clear corridor before the two-part movement; landing inside the next group can still end the run.

Quick Reload makes cooldowns recover faster while boosting. It needs boost fuel and safe movement. Preserve ordinary cooldown gaps and an escape route instead of treating it as permanent protection. Use the nitro and recovery guide when fuel, rather than damage, is ending your attempts.

Opening, bosses and Overtime

  1. Opening: start with Lightning Mage and clear manageable targets. Keep turns wide enough for Dieter's controls. Develop damage before chasing distant artifact pickups.
  2. Middle: add Fire Mage, then Teleporter and Dash as they become available. Take a useful scaling luck artifact while it still has time to work. Spend levels on the attack or escape that is currently falling behind.
  3. Before a boss: stop committing both movement tools to pickups. Check the ready abilities, fuel and escape direction before triggering your damage window.
  4. During the fight: keep moving while the automatic attacks work, use an active burst when the target is reachable, and leave before the next dangerous contact. A stun-resistant target requires a shorter stay.
  5. Overtime: leave crowded ground early. If you use the invincible dash, aim where the castle can safely finish it. Do not wait until the landing area is surrounded before trying to escape.

The goal is a functioning run with better upgrade opportunities. Check whether the extra luck is helping the core reach useful damage and cooldown choices; if it is not, invest the next artifact choice in the problem you can see on screen.

If the luck package is incomplete

No Souvenir: start with a clover you own, or use a combat artifact and take luck later. No Dieter: keep Norbert while learning the movement pattern. No second top slot: use a single-core build from the Wanderburg build list while unlocking Spiderburg.

Enemies survive: prioritise the mage that is actually hitting them. You cannot escape: preserve Dash, improve its cooldown and keep a clear finish to the movement. You need recovery: choose an available healing method instead of spending another slot on luck. Merchants generates Gold, so it does not replace Carpenters or a health pickup.

Keep luck, artifact rerolls and module-upgrade rerolls separate. Avoid buying the most expensive item before the core works, waiting forever for a perfect amplifier sequence, or copying a Dash plan without selecting its Invincible upgrade.
